Glenn would always talk to me about Concierto De Aranjuez by Rodrigo and how he’d practice it constantly at home in the hope that he’d be called to play it (I believe he did get that call at least once).
In 2010 I told him that the great Craig Ogden was playing it with the Halle orchestra at the Bridgewater Hall and I bought 2 tickets for us to go and see it.
He sat perfectly still and watched all the way through, taking mental notes and admiring the sound that Craig produced until at one point he missed a single note during one of the many awkward runs.
